Every day, our food companies take responsibility for helping consumers eat and drink in a more balanced way. One inspiring example is The Mocktail Club, founded by sisters Marie and Kaat Claessens. They have launched eight unique mocktails, made exclusively from natural ingredients such as fruit and spices.
Eight healthy alternatives
The Mocktail Club crafts alcohol-free, ready-to-serve bottled cocktails available in supermarkets. They use only fresh, natural ingredients and no preservatives. While this makes the production process more challenging, it is precisely what sets The Mocktail Club apart from competitors. In addition, all mocktails are vegan and low in calories and sugar, offering consumers a healthier alternative to alcoholic or sugar-laden aperitifs.
More alcohol-free options
Sisters Marie (32) and Kaat (34) are the faces behind The Mocktail Club. When Marie was eighteen, she discovered she had an alcohol intolerance and saw this as a chance to create something new. After extensive experimentation, she launched her first bottled mocktail in 2017. Two years later, her sister Kaat joined the mix. Their shared passion is to help people make healthier, alcohol-free choices and to respond to the growing demand for non-alcoholic options. “We’re not here to ban alcohol”, explains Kaat. “We simply want to show that you can enjoy it more mindfully. With our mocktails, you can switch things up without feeling like you're missing out.”
And the demand for healthier, non-alcoholic aperitifs is undeniable. Today, The Mocktail Club generates a turnover of 2 million euros, with a 30% growth in 2025. While the mocktails are currently only available in Belgium, the sisters are already planning to expand into the Dutch and French markets.
