The principle behind Sweet Heroes is simple: people working in the food industry step into the classroom themselves. They talk about their jobs, their companies and the paths they have taken.
With Sweet Heroes, Choprabisco joins forces with Vlajo to visit schools. Not with a traditional company presentation, but with enthusiastic professionals who want to share their passion for the chocolate, biscuit and confectionery industry with young people during guest lectures at school. They tell a story that introduces students to the many talents, professions and opportunities the sector has to offer. And it works:
2025-2026 school year

- 48 schools across Flanders

- More than 1,600 students reached
The figures show how quickly Sweet Heroes has found its way into education. In its first year, the initiative reached 10 of Flanders’ 12 hotel and catering schools. In the second year? All 12.
Tomorrow’s professionals are reached today
For Choprabisco, it is important to build a tangible bridge between education and the business world. Young people come into direct contact with professionals working in the industry, while companies have an opportunity to show the knowledge and skills behind their products and, above all, the opportunities available to the many talents of the future.

The food industry needs new employees with a wide range of profiles and skills to fill the many vacancies in our companies. But young people can only choose our sector if they know what happens behind the doors of our food companies and what opportunities are available to them.
That is why Choprabisco continues to invest in introducing young people to the sector. From the new 2026-2027 school year onwards, Sweet Heroes will also expand its initiatives to French-speaking schools in Brussels and Wallonia.
